I need some advice about choosing JMS or plain log file...
Hi thank you for reading my post.
here is my scenario :
I have a web site which receives more than half a million hit in each day ,
i should log all hits and process them each 2 or 3 hours.
Now should i use ActiveMQ to persist them or i use a simple log file and
then process that log file ?

Thank you.

What do you want to do with the processing of the hits?

FWIW 0.5M hits a day is about 11 messages per second which is fairly
low messaging rates so using ActiveMQ would be fine.

My suggestion would be to use a database.  It's just as easy to code and almost as fast (and probably faster then a log file).
